Less planning, More parenting

Hi, I’m Yuki - A mom of two.

Parenting is a blend of love and logistics, demanding quick solutions and smart choices. If we can order food, book entire holidays, and hail a ride at the touch of a button, why can't we have the same ease with parenting?

Let’s face it. With nurseries, primary school applications, secondary schools and exam preparations, meal prep, play dates, injuries, illnesses, last minute upheavals, endless school holidays and holiday camp activities, family holidays, parent politics, challenging behaviours, screen time, mental health worries - parenting is a whole universe of its own.

I found myself juggling the roles of a new mom, a medical student, and a cultural bridge between my Sri Lankan-Japanese heritage and my Swedish family. With no family nearby and no "village" to lean on, parenthood felt like a full-time job on top of my career. Talking to other parents, I realised I wasn't alone in this struggle.

So I’ve made Mura to reimagine the village for the digital age—the platform where technology meets community to streamline every parenting journey.

I also understand that schools, tutors, activity providers, and caretakers face their own set of challenges—from juggling schedules and managing resources to engage families and adapt to ever-evolving needs. Mura is here to bridge those gaps, creating a intuitive ecosystem that benefits everyone involved in raising the next generation.

Best,

Yuki.
